Solo and Danny @ House Of Blues In Chicago

Although I don’t think that a youngster has any business being in a nightspot, here’s Solange and her son Daniel backstage.  He’s too cute, and I wonder if he knows his mother is off her rocker?  Solange looks like the kind of woman who will chop her man up into bits and pieces, and then say that she can’t recall doing it.

Beyonce Gets "Intimate" For Essence Magazine….YAWN

Posted in Beyonce Kowles, Uncategorized on February 27th, 2009 by dirtygurl

Beyonce’s got two new videos out, so that means more magazine interviews, and lifeless photo shoots.    Here she is on the cover of Essence, giving her rendition of “fierce”, but in my opinion all she does is fizzle.  I’ve seen this exact expression in one of those awful Dereon ads she’s forced to do for Mother Knowles.  A dead fish shows more feeling  than she does.  Boy, she sure does think she’s a slick one, she so private….that is until she’s got a new project she wants to promote.  PUHLEEZE!

Chris Brown attends "anger management" a.k.a. Damage Control

Posted in Brawls, It's a Damn Shame, Rihanna, Stupidity Has a Face on February 27th, 2009 by dirtygurl

Chris Brown is reportedly attending anger management courses after his “heartfelt” apology was thrown back in his face, and after receiving a bunch of death threats for going 51/50 on Rihanna earlier this month.  Now don’t get me wrong, I was the first one to holler that the boy needs some help, but this just smells like more of the same bullshit his cam. came up with to save what little career the boy has left.

And while Chris is learning that Kindergarten lesson to keep his hands to himself, Miss Rihanna was spotted in Mexico, getting some much needed sun and relaxation.

Oscar Red Carpet Fashion….Part Deux

Posted in Award Shows, Beyonce Kowles, fashion, Funky Fashion Faux Pas, red carpet on February 23rd, 2009 by dirtygurl

For every well dressed red carpet walker, there’s a couple who should have stayed home.  It pains me to say that Jada Pinkett was a definite dissapointment in Roberto Cavalli Resort.  This gown would have been ab-fab if it fit.  Jada is a tiny woman, and this gown just seems to swallow her up.  There is no evidence that Jada has a waist, and she could have used the services of a tailor to have it altered.  As it stands, she should have left it in the closet.

Jada I know you're in there somewhere!

Jada I know you're in there somewhere!

Am I the only one who’s too through with Beyonce’s obsession with Mermaid Couture?  You can always count on this one to show up on the red carpet in something that sparkles, looks cheap, or has mermaid fins, or in most cases…all three!

Beyonce loves all things metalic, tight, and fishy!

Now I’m not saying the dress is hopeless, like alot of others are,  because I can see the potential, so I’m going to give it a re-mix.  It seemed that every gown on the red carpet was floor length.  Cut the mermaid fins off, and bring the length to just under the knees, and I believe it would have looked alot better.  The pattern seems to be too damn much.  One rule to remember when wearing patterns, is that if your a small woman, keep the pattern small.  This dress could have worked if it were shorter.  I’m also glad she passed up that horrible “Sasha” hair don’t, but some chandelier earrings, and maybe a gold cuff  would have balanced her out nicely.  Oh and lose the robot pose already!

Oscar's Red Carpet Fashion

Posted in Ab-Fab!, Award Shows, fashion, red carpet, Taraji P. Henson on February 23rd, 2009 by dirtygurl

I don’t care about the Oscar’s, or should I say, I don’t care about watching the Oscars.  However, I’m awfully interested in knowing what everyone was wearing.  You know I love to give my two cents on celebrity fashion, so here we go….

Taraji and Viola took my breath away.  I really liked the gold  Reem Acra on Viola, as gold compliments women who wear a darker shade of skin, in my opinion.  Although we just saw Taraji kill in a white red carpet gown, she definitely shook it up with this tiered gown by Roberto Cavali, and I love the luscious color of her clutch.  Although she didn’t get the trophy, she was still a winner!  Both ladies had flawless hair and makeup!

Viola and Taraji...LMAO @ Taraji coveting Oscar!

Alicia Keyes looked chic, and sexy in this gown by Armani Prive.  The color is exquisite on AK, and I even like her Jokeresque smile.

Queen Latifah certainly does know how to work with what she has.  She absolutely sparkles in this navy satin number with Swarovski embroidery by Georges Chakra.  I love Latifah…just because you have a larger frame doesn’t mean that you can’t look like royalty.  A def thumbs up!

X to the Z Calls Out Irresponsible Bloggers and Homophobes!

Getting rid of the braids was a good move, X

Getting rid of the braids was a good move, X

Many people seem to be under the impression that my fave ego-maniac, Diddy,  is homosexual.  I really don’t believe that, but it if he was, it wouldn’t make a bit of difference to me.

Anyhow, after a radio interview X did recently, the blogs went crazy claiming that Diddy took X and the infamous Superhead to a gay club, and that X was calling Diddy gay without coming right out and saying it.  I don’t know, but I read what X said in the interview, and I didn’t get the impression that he was calling Diddy gay, he just said that he saw some man/man activity going on, and it freaked out so much, that they blew the joint without telling Diddy they were leaving.

But just because homosexuals go to a club, does not make it a gay club.   He then went on to say that he’s not interested in bashing homosexuals, or Diddy, and just wants to concentrate on his art-form.  He also calls out the fact that certain blogs take something they hear in the media, and run with it.  I hear you X….some of these bloggers will do anything to attract “hits” no matter how wrong they get it, or who it hurts, or embarrasses.  Quit being so ignorant!

Thank you X, for not spreading more hatred against homosexuality, and focusing on what really matters….the truth!

First the whole Rihanna picture deal, and now this…bloggers really need to get their crap together.   Take a stand and stop following the parade, and start leading it!   For the full article, click here.

"Madea" Does It Again

Black Power

Black Power

Okay everyone, I saw “Madea…Jail” lastnight, and although I don’t think it was the best Madea Film, it was funny enough.  Tyler Perry reprises his role as the gun-toting, salty mouthed, mammoth breasted Madea, and that foul brother of hers, Uncle Joe.

Kiesha Knight Pulliam also did well as the strung-out prostitute, Candace.  Derek Luke was allright, and I really despised Ion Overman’s character, the vile, insecure District Attorney, which means that she did a good job.

I’d have to honestly say that it was worth the price of a movie ticket.  The only issue I have with the “Madea” films is that they follow the same formula.  There’s always a damsel in distress, a man who steps in and “rescues” that damsel, and a vile female messing things up.  I really could have done without “Brown”, as I don’t find him a bit funny.    Support Tyler, and go see his movie.

Queen Halle

Posted in Ab-Fab!, fashion, Halle Berry, red carpet on February 21st, 2009 by dirtygurl

I’ve always admired Halle Berry’s fashion choices, and this one is no different.  Here’s Halle gracing the red carpet, and putting others to shame at the Essence  Black Women In Film Awards Luncheon in Los Angeles.  I love the dress by Reem Acra, but the back is just a bit fussy for me, but despite that Halle pulls it off flawlessly.  I also adore the CL peeptoe, platform, slingbacks.

Madea Opens To the Tune of 14.7 Milli

14.7 Mill opening night, not bad Tyler

14.7 Mill opening night, not bad Tyler

Your boy, Tyler Perry wasn’t feeling the recession lastnight with his latest installment of the “Madea” film franchise grossing over $14 Milli its  opening night.  I must admit, I do like these movies, even though the first two followed the same my-man-is-a-dog formula. She Was Down, But Not Out!

Posted in Rihanna on February 21st, 2009 by dirtygurl

Rihanna was spotted in L.A. on her way to the airport.  As you all can see, the girl is back to her normal, gorgeousness.    Her birthday was yesterday (Friday) so happy belated b-day Ri.

Emerging a stronger person, hopefully she'll leave that savage alone, and get some counseling.
